We are all living in extraordinary times at the moment. The changes brought about by COVID-19 have been far-reaching and it’s hard to think of anything that hasn’t been impacted by the pandemic.
Trying to run a business and deliver healthcare services during this time is about as challenging as it gets. At DPAS we’re still here to support you in any way we can.
While your BDC can’t pop into practice to see you right now, they’re all still available at the end of a phone, email or video call, ready to answer any questions or just be a friendly face and listening ear.
We have also taken the practical step of giving our practices back half of their monthly admin fees during April and May, to help with cash flow during this crisis. You should have received an email about this in recent weeks; if you have any questions please contact your BDC.
We know the uncertainty that this kind of crisis creates about running your business now and in the future. That’s why we created a new resource page.
The page is regularly updated to provide a one-stop shop for all the latest news affecting the profession and includes a Frequently Asked Questions section for those with a membership plan with DPAS. There are also blogs, webinars, videos and web-links that cover topics like employment advice, patient communication and mental health.
Nigel Jones, Sales and Marketing Director of Practice Plan Group, said, “The Coronavirus pandemic has created an unprecedented situation across the world. For those working in healthcare and/or trying to run a business, the implications are significant and could be far-reaching.
“For dentists and practice owners there is a great deal of uncertainty about how to continue providing care for their patients, support for their staff (financially as well as emotionally) and security for their business for the future.
“To help dentists and their teams navigate through this challenging situation we have created a webpage that provides all the support and information they need in one place. We’re working with experts in the profession to keep it continually updated to enable dentists to adapt quickly to any changes in advice from the Government.
“Dentists have always proved themselves able to adapt to whatever system they find themselves working in. This virus may be the biggest test of that skill, but we are committed to helping them during this unparalleled time to find a way through.”
